Service
Septic System Installation
Complete installation of a new septic system for a new build or a property that has never had an on-site system.
What this service involves
- Setting out the approved system layout on the ground and confirming it against the design drawings.
- Site preparation, access routes, machine positioning and protection of areas that should stay undisturbed.
- Excavation for the tank, distribution components and the dispersal field.
- Installing and levelling the tank, connecting the building sewer line and installing pump or distribution equipment where the design calls for it.
- Constructing the dispersal field in the material and depth specified in the design.
- Backfill, grading, tidy-up and a walkthrough of what has been installed and where it sits.
When this may be required
- A new house, cabin, shop with plumbing or secondary dwelling on an unserviced property.
- A property being brought back into use where no usable on-site system exists.
- A rebuild where the previous system cannot be reused.
The general TTIS process
- 01
Confirm the design and paperwork
We review the design and any conditions attached to it so the crew is building what was actually approved.
- 02
Schedule and stage the work
Installation is coordinated around excavation, material deliveries and the rest of the building schedule.
- 03
Build the system
Tank, conveyance and dispersal components are installed to the design, with photographs taken as the work is covered up.
- 04
Inspect, backfill and record
The system is checked before it is buried, then backfilled and graded, and the record of what was built is assembled.
Every property is different. Timing, cost, system suitability and authorization outcomes depend on the site and on decisions made by others, so we describe the process rather than promise a result.
What to have ready
- The property address, legal description or parcel ID.
- Any existing septic design, permit or site plan for the property.
- Well locations, watercourses, ponds and neighbouring wells if known.
- Building plans and the number of bedrooms or fixtures the system needs to serve.
- Notes on site access — gate widths, driveway grades, overhead lines, soft ground.
- Your timeline and whether other trades are already booked.
If you do not have some of this, that is fine — bring what you have.
